Simple SetupThis device uses one piece of cat 6/7 cable to extend the HDMI signal up to 200ft at 1080p. (Note: Cat5e maximum distance is 165 feet) It not only breaks the limitation of HDMI cable lengths but also has more flexibility and convenience for installation. It is equipped with HDMI connectors that will also support DVI equipment when using an HDMI to DVI converter, which will provide more flexibility when integrating with several home theater components. The extender system consists of a transmitter and a receiver unit. Connect your HDMI source such as a set-top box. DVD player or gaming console to the Transmitter with an HDMI cable. The Transmitter will connect to the Receiver through a CAT cable and finally, the display will connect to the Receiver with an HDMI cable.

How do you perform the EDID copy function?Connect the transmitter to an available HDMI input port of your display via HDMI cable. Power on your display and set your display’s source to the corresponding HDMI input port. Power on your transmitter. Press the EDID button for 1-2 seconds. Your status lights will change from red to green, then back to red. This indicates a successful EDID copy. Disconnect the power adapter from the transmitter before re-connecting the transmitter to your source device.

You guys rock! I was in charge of the tech to livestream a FIRST Lego League (FLL) robotics tournament this weekend. I ordered fiber optic HDMI cables to connect my cameras from Amazon, and they did not ship in time to meet my needs. I had ordered J-Tech extenders from Amazon before, and decided to go straight to you. You had them on their way Priority mail the next day! They arrived with days to spare and worked flawlessly. We were able to live stream three cameras using the two new extenders, and one of the extenders I previously purchased using Cat5e cable cut to length. Outstanding! The tech volunteers for the Alaska FIRST program thank you!

Works very well! Noticed no issues with lag or response time… using CAT 7 cable.

So far works great on a 100′ CAT6 run from a Monoprice HDMI splitter/switch to an outdoor HDTV. The extender box gets really warm and the power adapter cord doesn’t seem to fit really well in the extender box, occasionally interrupting the picture/sound but a little jiggle brings everything back. Its the only solution that’s worked so very happy.
