Audio Settings for J-Tech Digital HDMI Extractor
J-Tech Digital ® Premium Quality Hdmi To Hdmi + Audio (Spdif + RCA Stereo) Audio Extractor Converter is our best seller product. It can extract digital audio signal from the HDMI input and convert it to 2 channel analog stereo output or 5.1 channel Audio output.
To improve our customers using experience, we just post three tips when you are using this product.1.Switch EDID Button
When you can’t get the sound, the first thing you can try is switch the EDID audio switch in the front. Change it between 2CH, 5CH or pass.2.Turn Off Dolby Digital Plus
Because TOSLINK (spdif) does not support Dolby Digital Plus, we need to turn off Dolby Digital Plus function of the input device. Then the sound can go through our extractor. Here are samples for how to turn Dolby Digital Plus off.- Amazon Fire TV
Settings --> Display&Sound --> Audio --> Dolby Digital Output --> Dolby Digital Plus off
- Apple TV
Settings --> Audio&Video --> Dolby Digital --> Off
- Amazon Fire TV Stick
Settings --> Display&Sound --> Audio --> Dolby Digital Output --> Dolby Digital Plus off
- Roku and Chromecast
When you are playing Dolby Digital Plus content on those two devices there is no option that you can shut down Dolby Digital Plus. So you can’t get sound from spdif or RCA port.
3. Audio through HDMI
When the incoming HDMI audio format is Dolby Digital Plus, PCM 5.1CH, PMC7.1CH, Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio, both the SPDIF and L/R outputs will not work, but you can still obtain these advanced audio signals from HDMI output, because HDMI output signal is identical to the HDMI input signal.
We are listing from our customers and continuing to improve our products. Please common it below or email us to support@jtechdigital.com
