J-Tech Digital is a proud member of the HDBaseT alliance since 2017. Please follow these guidelines provided by HDBaseT for optimal performance with your J-Tech Digital HDMI over Ethernet extenders.

  • Please note: Stranded cables will reduce performance significantly.

  • Patch cables, wall plates, connecting blocks may affect transmission distance. Please refer to HDBaseT™ Do’s & Don’ts and Best Practices (http://installers.hdbaset.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Dos-and-Donts-WP.pdf)

  • While CAT5e can support 4K resolutions, transmission distances are greatly reduced versus using CAT6A or greater.

  • J-Tech Digital recommends T568A or T568B termination for optimal performance.
