How to Set Up the USB 3.2 HDBaseT Extender Kit
Step 1: Install the Wallplate Host Side
Mount the wall plate transmitter into a standard 1-gang wall box or mounting location.
Connect your laptop or computer to the USB-C HOST port using the included USB-C cable.
The USB-C host port supports:
- USB 3.2 Gen 1
- Up to 5Gbps transfer speeds
- Backward compatibility with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1
Step 2: Connect the Cat6A Cable
Run a single Cat6A/7 F/FTP or U/FTP cable between:
- The USB3-LINK port on the wallplate transmitter
- The USB3-LINK port on the receiver
Maximum distance:
- Up to 330ft / 100m using Cat6A/7 cable
If patch cables are used:
- Maximum of two patch cables
- Each patch cable must not exceed 5m
- Total distance becomes 295ft / 90m
Step 3: Connect Displays
Connect up to two HDMI displays to:
- HDMI OUT 1
- HDMI OUT 2
The receiver supports:
- Dual 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDMI outputs
- HDMI 2.0 video support
Step 4: Connect USB Devices
Connect USB peripherals to the receiver:
