What You Need for Setup

How to Set Up the HDMI Audio Extractor (Step-by-Step)
Standard Setup:
1. Connect Your HDMI Source: Plug your gaming console, streaming device, or Blu-ray player into the HDMI Input on the extractor.
2. Connect HDMI Output to Your TV or Monitor: The extractor passes video up to 8K60 or 4K120, ensuring no quality loss.
3. Connect to Your Sound System: Choose the audio output that matches your equipment:
Optical SPDIF → for Dolby Digital 5.1 / DTS
Analog L/R → for stereo receivers or powered speakers
HDMI Audio Out → for receivers that accept HDMI audio
4. Configure Audio Settings: Use your source device’s audio menu to select the correct audio format (Stereo, Bitstream, Dolby Digital, etc.).
5. Adjust EDID if Needed: If you experience audio dropout or limited formats, switch EDID modes using the DIP switches to force compatibility.
ARC / eARC Setup:
1. Connect your display's ARC / eARC port to the HDMI audio extractors "HDTV OUT (eARC)" port.
2. Ensure that CEC is enabled within your display's settings.
3. Press the "eARC" button on the extractor and ensure that the eARC LED indicator is on.
4. Choose the audio output that matches your equipment:
Optical SPDIF → for Dolby Digital 5.1 / DTS
Analog L/R → for stereo receivers or powered speakers
HDMI Audio Out → for receivers that accept HDMI audio

Troubleshooting Guide
